Skateboard Video Vault: Pivot Fakie

In this Video Vault we address the classic “Pivot Fakie” or “Pivot to Fakie.”  Before learning how to pivot to fakie skaters usually learn to do Pivots and Axle Stalls to fakie.  A Pivot is basically a Backside 5-0 stall with the back wheel pinched closely to the coping.  The Pivot is the easy part of this trick.  Taking it to fakie is what really gets people scared because it is super easy to hang up.  The best way to overcome this challenge is to practice spotting your wheels and to have complete confidence.  Hanging up is not fun and usually happens because of hesitation.  The Pivot Fakie is a super controlled trick that shows refined skill.  It is an impressive trick on ramps big and small.
