The Crossbone is a type of backside air where the skater grabs the heel side of their board with their front hand and tweaks their back foot out. In the air it looks like the skater’s lower shins are crossed, hence the name cross-bone. Though it is basically a backside air, the crossbone adds an entirely different dimension to the trick. It definitely does not feel like a regular backside air. When done right, the tweak helps the skater change their momentum and land smoothly back into the ramp.
